8h TruthTeam2012 TruthTeam2012 ?@truthteam2012
FACT: Ryan criticized President Obama's decision to save the auto industry after voting in favor of it. http://OFA.BO/7aXW43

A few of his biggest lies:

On his district: He blamed President Obama for an auto plant that closed in his district—but the truth is the plant had shut down in 2008, when George W. Bush was president.

On Medicare: Ryan said that he and Romney would save Medicare for future generations. Their plan would actually replace Medicare as we know it with a voucher system—raising costs for seniors.

On the deficit: Ryan said, “President Obama has added more debt than any other president before him.” False.

On the middle class: Ryan called for “the strong to protect the weak.” But the Romney-Ryan plan would ask for nothing from the wealthiest Americans—instead their plan would raise taxes on middle-class families, and strip key programs like Pell Grants and Medicare, just to provide more tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.

along with Eric Cantor, Jeb Hensarling, Pete Hoekstra, Dan Lungren, Kevin McCarthy, and Pete Sessions. The Senate members were Tom Coburn, Bob Corker, Jim DeMint, John Ensign and Jon Kyl.

Among the other Republican notables were Newt Gingrich and strategist Frank Luntz.

(Gingrich) at the end of that strategy session in the Caucus Room:

“You will remember this day,” he began. “You’ll remember this as the day the seeds of 2012 were sown . .

Trying to help the sell-ability of these claims that you call facts.

Instead you have to insert some phrase from the plan, budget or name some economists that proves the 'would' claim. Because 'would' language isn't weighty enough to opposing party voters or independents who are pretty used to outright lies right about now. Or who are in an emo bubble. Injecting solid language that convinces hostile audiences is crucial right now.

I also think that reporting what people SAY isn't as indicative of their future "bold leadership" activity as much as is what they have DONE, which is more convincing.

1. "Could" and "would" language is always challengeable. So stick with the present:

Old: "38,000 teachers and 27,000 special education teachers could lose their jobs because of the Ryan budget.
New: "38,000 teachers and 27,000 special education teachers lose their jobs through the Ryan budget.

Old: "The Ryan budget would cut elementary and secondary education funding by $4.8 billion. http://OFA.BO/y4vmmn
New: " The Ryan budget cuts elementary and high school funds by $4.8 billion..."

2. THIS ... "7h TruthTeam2012 TruthTeam2012 ?@truthteam2012
FACT: Ryan opposed the deficit reduction deal because it would help President Obama's re-election chances. http://OFA.BO/d7brJS " ...

is a claim of INTENT. NEVER make that claim unless you can quote him. Certainly, an article muddies up any proof. A whole article? Come ON, OFA. This is shoddy and weak.

Please, please, please. Don't be the help that is no help.

And this should be headlined everywhere. Romney's sketchy plan to make us energy independent is not a solid start as to how he would save the US economy.

Where ARE Romney's solutions??? I haven't seen one solid plan. And (though I would never vote Repub anyway) I would never vote on something that doesn't even exist!!
