RNC forgets to send buses to pick up Florida delegation

STUCK ON A BUS — It doesn't help things that Florida Republicans already feel unloved by the national GOP.

But a Tuesday bus ride ferrying delegates between their purgatory, the Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort, and Tampa pushed the limits of about 60 passengers, forcing some to contemplate jumping off.

It didn't start well.

Delegates were to board the buses at noon, and they were excited to catch a glimpse of the RNC, which was 30 miles away from Innisbrook — punishment for the state party holding a primary earlier than the national party allowed.

But by 12:15 p.m., delegates were given bad news. The buses were late.

The RNC forgot to send them, delegates were told. Now they would have to wait.

Earlier, Marco Rubio tried to address the delegation at lunch, but they had been infiltrated by protesters.. Every time he tried to speak, someone would stand up and heckle him. They'd get rid of one, and as soon as he'd try again, another would pop up.
