Tropical Storm Issac is headed to S. Florida in a couple of days. I went this evening to top off my gas tank & had to go to several gas stations before I could get any gas. I hit the ATM machine.
A couple of days ago go I had went and got my supplies. Luckily I have hurricane shutters so I don't have to deal with ply wood.
I kind of got caught with my pants down with Hurricane Charley several years ago, wasn't expecting that big of a storm to hit us (said that would never happen again).
I implore anyone living in S. Slorida, please don't wait till the last minute. Things are already starting to get scarce.
Stay safe all & hope everyone in the affected areas stays safe.

(12,977 posts)The latest forecast is for the storm to pass over the Keys tomorrow night as a Cat. 1 hurricane, then move further offshore before finally slamming into the Panhandle as a Cat 2. So people up that way need to be even more aware.
