Do you know what the greatest tragedy in the country is?
It is the loss of reason. You would think in these days of universally available free education at least to the point where there is no reason for anyone to be illiterate in this country and the omnipresent availability of fact based information that a lie would be the easiest thing there was to defeat. And yet we have organizations like AEI and the Heritage Institute, companies like FOX News, and faith-based noise machines that spew nothing but lies, morning, day, and night. The result? Half of the people in the country are more than happy to repeat things that simply are not true.
How can misinformation on any subject for which no factual base exists be accepted in a modern society where a fact based rebuttal is only a keystroke away? How did half of the people of this nations become such nincompoops?
