A hypothetical:
The Democratic candidate for President is withholding his tax returns for the previous 12 years and implying that revealing them would be politically damaging.
The candidate also refuses to detail any policy proposals because that would be politically "suicidal."
The candidate selects a running mate who wants to gut every social program, end Medicare and cut Social Security benefits and privatize it going forward.
A Democratic candidate for Senate espouses a radically "offensive" position, which is also part of the Democrats' 2012 platform.
Now switch out Deomcratic candidate for Mitt Romney, and this is the campaign Mitt is running.
How in the hell is Mitt still running with any credibility among any group?
Could you imagine the fury the media would unleash on Democrats?
Trust Mitt: Releasing his tax returns would be "damaging" and policy details would be "suicidal"

The Newsweek cover story this week will confuse the hell out of a lot of people who don't know it's complete bullshit.

I just wonder how conservatives feel about the old Grover quote about being able to sign. If they are supportive of that; then just what is it that we're up against?
