"That dude running for president . . .". BWHAHAHA!

I'm at school sitting outside near the bus stop and right next to me are three other students, two women and a man, were talking. One woman appears to be around 40, the other two in their early twenties. The young man just said, "Did you hear about that dude running for president? He said a woman can't get pregnant if she's raped. That if she gets pregnant, she liked it.". You should see the looks on the women's faces!

1. Appalling

Mainly because "that dude" is not running for president.

Combine this with the ignorant tripe I got treated to on NPR this morning, and I despair for this nation. An Idiocracy looms.

3. In this instance, it doesn't matter

because the guy just super-imposed Akin onto Rmoney.

4. The right depends on the uneducated and gullible to swallow whatever they are told by the tv

the problem is that some of them are too low to understand the message and, even worse, sometimes they change the channel and hear the wrong thing.

Does not compute! Does not compute!

6. Intellectually, I agree. But this is politics against ideological loons...

...so if it wakes up the "I don't really pay attention to politics" sector to the looniness, I'll restrain my intellectual grumbling.

7. Not FOR President

But for VP. And Rmoney supports personhood bill. So the kid is kind of right. Besides, he was maybe linking Ryan to Akin. At least he didn't say Obama was the one, so he got that right.

5. I bet next thing we'll know (alright, we'll probably not know it)...

they will 'accidentally' hear and/or watch the President say "... and that's why I'm running for President of the United States ..." on utube or something... and falsely 'associate' "That dude running for president..." with him.

Happened before with too many youngsters.... (confusion from 'ignoramus-ness'...)
