I am shocked that today's GOP thinks that anything is out of bounds.

I really expected them to just ignore this Akin thing. Of course I didn't think they'd actually get asked about it either. When I heard that R and R were commenting on it, I knew they were scared out of their minds. Oh yeah...they don't have those, but anyway.

Is it possible that there is some kind of limit to their women bashing? Who knew?

i mean, of all their outrageous quotes over the years, this one somehow is different; they're actually treating him like he said something bad.

advocating mass murder, just short of genocide, that's worth a 9-figure salary, and no republican would dream of condemning rush.

but this one they're actually not just digging in, doubling down, they're actually cutting him adrift.

They just don't want to risk losing the Senate race. They thought Missouri was a sure thing......now the teabagging, Christianist numbskull that is running may put that state in play. Their concern has nothing to do with scruples, they just want McKaskill to spend more time with her family. Their Senate hopes don't seem so realistic without Missouri.

Still, the media actually reported this and questioned some GOPers , including R and R about it. Without that, people don't even have a chance to respond.
