A Two-Fer: Someone should ask Romney whether he agrees with Missouri's

Repig Senate candidate Todd Akin that victims of 'legitimate rape' do not get pregnant.

Force Romney to cut Akin loose or risk forfeiting even more women's votes.

1. Ask him if there's such a thing as "legitimate rape," too, while they're at it

4. Romney wanted to consolidate his base by picking Ryan. Having to cut

Akin loose would negate any advantage the Ryan pick procured. Alternately, sticking with Akin would cost Romney big-time among women. That would create an opening big enough to drive a Mack truck through.

Holy Shit! This could be the LBJ-Goldwater moment I've been expecting for some time.

3. FIRST though....

someone would have to FIND him (he's not exactly making himself available for questions)
Sort of like the Wasilla Idiot was kept sequestered from all those "GOTCHA" questions coming from the "impotent" press.

8. No, Romney is too slick for that.

He moved pretty quickly to release a statement disagreeing with Akin.

9. Meh, I prefer the Rude Pundit's take on Romney's (initial) response:

"When everyone picked their jaws off the floor, Akin's profoundly, demonstrably, scientifically wrong statement was met with a DefCon Katrina level of outrage. At what point is low too low? At a time that demanded true leadership, Mitt Romney's campaign's response was so milquetoast that Fire Island twinks would tell him to butch up."
