Is anyone watching to see if the Mormon Church is involved in this election?

Is any entity of the church providing money in any way to get Romney elected?

Is there any other kind of illegal influence going on (illegal under tax laws for churches)?

I suppose that politicking is being done by surrogates (like the producer of that new feature film on Obama).

But I hope that someone, somewhere, is watching and digging.

Harry?

on their properties for different repuke candidates.

Nothing makes you feel as warm as seeing churches advocate for repukes. I think any church that puts a sign (or allows a sign to be put on its property) should immediately have to pay taxes on all church property. I've family who go to a baptist church in Georgia where flyers have been handed out in the past to "show the positions" of various candidates. Candidate X is for baby killing, Candidate Y is god fearing family man who loves fetuses....

But yes, the LDS put millions into California to ensure that gays couldnt marry.

They want Romney in the WH, and once he is there, well he will be answering to them, the leadership of the LDS, not the people of this country. The on thing a president has to do is separate their religion from the WH, Romney can't do that because no matter what, he answers to the leaders of his church, they will have control over what he does, and that should scare the crap out people.

Have we ever had this kind of situation, where a leader of a huge and powerful CULT was near to the nuclear arsenal, the U.S. Treasury, the power we hold 'round the globe?

Are you scared yet? I am.

....telling their congregations to donate to/vote for Republican candidates.

Dunno if that's legal or not. Does the LDS Church do the same?

OMG - you can bet your magic underwear the Mormon Church has thrown its vast fortune and well oiled organization into this fight. They have buckets of cash and plenty of foot soldiers getting their marching orders from Salt Lake as we speak.

Bishop Willard is their candidate - they own him. He and Queen Anne don't make one single decision without clearance from the church presidency and the council of the twelve. If you aren't familiar with the LDS church it's time to get up to speed. Pronto.

The LDS Church is the most secretive church out there except for perhaps Scientology.
