Soros Compared To Koch and Adleson. What is the most he has ever contributed in one election?

We often hear Republicans defending the hundreds of millions being contributing by the extremely rich, including over $100 million by the Koch Brothers and Sheldon Adelson alone by claiming that it is no different than George Soros' contributions to Democrats. Yet, in this election cycle, it appears that Soros is contributing about $2 million to a diverse range of liberal causes, rather than a huge amount to specifically control the Presidency. This is a large amount, but it pales in comparison to what Sheldon Adelson is spending: $10 million in June 2012 alone to Romney's SuperPAC!

What is the most George Soros has ever contributed in an election cycle that was directed to a specific political race such as during the Bush-Kerry race? I know that right wingers usually aggregate all of Soros' contributions to various causes, but what is the largest confirmed amount that Soros actually spent on one race.
