Ryan says GOP ticket to wait to disclose tax specifics until after election
the article is accompanied by another picture of Ryan with his head tilted up
Ryan: GOP ticket to wait to disclose tax specifics Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan says he and Mitt Romney will wait until after they're elected to disclose what tax loopholes they plan to get rid of. Ryan tells Fox News that _ quote _ "that is something that we think we should do in the light of day, through Congress." Ryan says the GOP ticket wants to get feedback from Americans about what tax cuts should be kept and what loopholes to close. In the interview, Ryan accused President Barack Obama of cutting Medicare to pay for his federal health care overhaul. It was the Romney campaign's line of the day, and it drew a blistering response from Obama's campaign, which labeled the latest Romney ad dishonest and hypocritical http://chippewa.com/news/national/govt-and-politics/ryan-gop-ticket-to-wait-to-disclose-tax-specifics/article_0b1909c0-0095-5a48-b7a8-97b76cebed5b.html

|
That he wouldn't divulge until after he was elected. Of course it turned out that there actually was no such plan, it was all campaign bullshit.
You would think that the republican party's leading egghead would be able to be specific about his vision instead of babbling in platitudes like any mortal politician. I think it's all bullshit just like Nixon's plan. I also think Ryan is a buffoon who became known as an "intellectual" only because the majority of his party "leaders" are mouth breathing idiots. |

I think they're playing both sides against the middle, they can't keep the promises they've made to big money doners and satisfy the common electorate. So they're swimming in their own crap pool that they made for themselves.

He is cut out of the same sanctimonious cloth as the monks who burned women at the stake as witches. He is nothing more than a zealot fanatic who believes he actually has the God given right to impose his beliefs on every one. The Catholic bishops adore him for his zeal to impose their asinine teachings on anyone with total disregard of the freedom of conscience. He enjoys the same credibility as the bishops whose opposition to contraception is totally disregarded by the 93% of Catholic women. This also applies to abortion since the percentage of Catholic women who have abortions is the same as the general population.
Under the guise of protection of religious freedom they are imposing their beliefs on the everyone in their determination to outlaw abortion and contraception along with their condemnation of comprehensive sex education. |

unbuilt without the blueprints and costs of the house......99 percent of Americans don't have the money to go an buy something and not care about the price.
There are no returns of these men. if you don't end up wanting their ideas and plans. R & R have to present their plans. The must be really stupid to think Americans would believe them. |

66. This is why they are going to have a very tough road to the White House........
|
Obama made clear in his 2008 campaign he would not raise taxes on those making $250K. He has stood by that promise. The claim that the health insurance mandate is a new tax, the "biggest tax increase in history" is totally bogus.
But since the issue of tax fairness, the issue of Ryan's proposal to dismantle Medicare and Medicaid and hand the security of future seniors over to Wall Street are going to be fair game. As a result we absolutely must know what their tax plans are. We already know Ryan wants to eliminate taxes on wealthy altogether. |

Do they think we are really that stupid? Of course their followers probably are, but no one who isn't batshit crazy would buy this. They should hang their heads in shame, except neither one of them has an ounce of conscience or true humanity in them.

73. Republican Voters Are Being Asked To Buy A Pig In A Poke
|
No specifics until after the election? That sounds like a classic "Trust us" ploy and I don't see how anyone who is able to think and doesn't subscribe to the pseudo-Randite "I've-got-mine-and-you-can-drop-dead" mindset can vote for that.
Voting for Romney/Ryan is like being asked to buy a pig in a poke. You don't know what's in the sack, you don't know whether it's a creature, whether it is a pig if it is a creature, or whether the pig is even alive and healthy even if it's in the sack. Unfortunately, there's a lot of Republican voters that'll do just that. Remember ol' "I'm a uniter, not a divider"? I do. |

80. rerun of George W Bush in 2000 -- he rode vague all the way to the White House
|
the media actually noted during the 2000 campaign that Bush was extremely vague about his plans (esp plans for entitlement programs)
despite being vague, Bush still catapulted to frontrunner status early in the primary on the basis of his name low-information voters in the GOP don't necessarily care about policy details |
