Comment from Freeper forum

Mitt has 19 years of running for political office.

Mitt has won a single election in his life and didn’t reach 50% of the vote, and left the single term with 34% approval.

Mitt is not a great candidate by any measure, and he was even worse as an actual office holder.

Nineteen years of campaigning, spending records broken in every campaign, 55 to 60 million of his own spent, and still no one has any idea why he wants to be president, or what his personal politics are, or what his interest in politics is.

In any sense of the word anyone would commonly think of being an American. He's a globalist with no loyalty to this country, no more than his GOP pals, and would have everything in this country, people included, as tools for a larger game.

He is simply running for the job of CEO of what they see as a fully owned and sold out USA. His foreign holdings, his donations from foreign banks and individuals, is who he plans to send all the profits that can be squeezed through sweat and blood to him. He is the most anti-American candidate of my lifetime, wants to subjugate us.

He has no intention of working as a POTUS, but will merely do what Nordquist said they want in office, just 'a man with enough digits on his hand' to sign on the dotted line for what they say.

And what they say is the Paul Ryan budget, a plan for the extermination of the American government. And the Constitution? It's just a piece of paper!

Vote for treason, elect Mitt Romney!

Says something when you can say mittens was probably the most "normal" out of all the front-runners. Of course the moderate reasonable ones like Huntsman couldn't even buy a percentage point.

and took the rank and file Republicans too far to fast! In the quest to grab more ratings by being ever more outlandish, they lost control of the message. A more gradual movement to the right would keep everyone asleep until it was too late. As it is, they are forced to attack Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid now! They had their plants in SCOTUS go out of their way (damned activist Judges) to give them Citizens United to open the flood gates of money to try to force through their agenda and try to keep the wheels from coming off. Rush, Hannity and their ilk are merely tools (boy are they) to shape the opinions of low information voters. They are drastically cutting education to increase the percentage of the low info voters. They offshore our jobs to lower wages here and bust the Unions so that when they bring them back, we are desperate enough to work for subsistence money with NO safety net and no safety. Tort reform was a ruse to kill Plaintiff firms so there will be no redress and no penalty. When Stella Liebeck sued McDonalds for the Hot Coffee, the media made it seem like our Court system had run amuck. The reality was that she almost died and had to have her clitorus and labia removed. The jury awarded around 2 million in light of the damages to her and the fact that they learned that McDonalds had superheated their coffee world wide to make fresh longer and get more coffee per bean. Our media lied about it (check this out if you do not believe the FACTS)! After BP blew up their plant in Texas City in 2005, they had the Texas legislature and Court system make it impossible to sue an oil company in Texas if they blew up their plant in the future. This has been a 30 year plan with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at it's center. They are not true Americans, only greedy, power mad, entitled assholes! We need our own plan to fight to take the power back! They are prepared to get physical (Cops on OWS) to keep their hard earned power, we must be even more committed. Sounds like a crazy rant I know, but check it out if you do not believe. This has been planned for a long time!

Yes, they do. And that's where the similarities end.

To answer your question, I don't know. If I had to guess, I'd say no. Teddy was more popular among Dems/Indies than Romney is with the GOP/TP/Indies. Romney is doing everything possible to actually buy the Oval Office. Teddy, though terribly misguided, had his heart in the right place and honestly thought he was doing the right thing. It was one of the few enormous mistakes he made in his life. Romney doesn't give a damn if he's right for the job, he just wants it. He's not running to lead America, he's running to sell her to the highest bidder, pad his resume and make his buddies rich(er).

That's the bottom line.
Romney is a PATHETIC candidate, but he was the best candidate that the current party of crackpots, nutcases, and spoiled brats could come up with.

Who would that Freeper have preferred? Newt "Moonbeam" Gingrich? Governor OOPS? Bat-shit-crazy Bachmann?

This is too funny.

The only thing that could make it better is if they have a horrible, bloody, chaotic fight on the Convention floor as they try to replace Mitt at the last minute in desperation. Hopefully with Ron Paul, and when the attempted delegate coup fails, all the Paulbots stomp off in disgust to vote for Gary Johnson.

Fri Aug 10, 2012, 06:17 PM
Aug 2012

Born into a rich family, the man has never had to worry about money a day in his life. So money and acquiring the things one does over a lifetime has never been a goal of his. What Mitt wants is power and prestige. He wants the most powerful job in the world just for the sake of having it. He wants to do something his daddy couldn't.

Romney and his superiors in the mormon church decided that Romney was the fulfillment of the White Horse prophesy. I saw an interview the other day with Gingrich. He was asked why Romney was running for President. Gingrich said it was because Romney believes the country is in trouble and he wants to help. That is the basis of the prophesy -- that the country would be in trouble and a mormon would "save" it, causing the country to become mormon and run by the church. Yes, Romney is a rich guy and this could be his biggest purchase - power and position. But as for his FEELINGS, I think he is driven by his belief in his church.

That about sums it up.
