6. Now we ALSO have MASS SHOOTINGS to cover 24/7 too.

Last edited Tue Aug 7, 2012, 09:43 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) oh the right hand side of the toon.
Never mind that we haven't even STARTED to fix Wall Street yet, nor Monsanto et. al. from destroying life on planet Earth. |

7. The shootings aren't a political distraction.
|
They may be a symptom of our social climate, but they're not a deliberate choreographed political distraction. Which is what this toon is about.

9. Street crime, gay rights, women's choice w/abortion aren't "distractions" either
|
they are VERY real issues, that matter a great deal to millions of people at a
very personal level. not unlike mass murders. The point of the toon was NOT that those a not "real" issues; but that the M$M is more than happy to give ANY ISSUE 24/7 saturation coverage, PROVIDED it does not step on any Wall Street toes. The confluence of recent mass murders with this conspicuous blindness of the M$M, just makes their jobs all that much easier ... ignore Wall St. Banksters ripping off the 99% with no end in sight ... all the while being TOTALLY ignored by M$M. |

Hardly a word in the Media about THIS issue most important to America's Working Class (99%). You will know them by their WORKS, not by their rhetoric, promises, or excuses. 16. why g. washington opposed political parties
|
In this cartoon it would appear that uncle sam represents the political parties who are in bed with the robber barons swapping legislation for campaign financing, et.al. The money being heisted is the US Treasury (in the form of favorable legislation) which has become the private funds of Congress in the capital market of barter. We are broken as a nation because the nation's wealth is no longer spent to promote the common wealth, but rather the private gain of the actual, de facto owners of OUR money.
This cartoon could easily show the Right in the alley with the Left, each lined up on opposing sides, throwing bricks at each other with u sam egging them on. What unites the parties is neither wants its constituents to figure out a way to seize ownership of the money in the Treasury for the benefit of all. Maybe it's time to occupy the Treasury. |
