Mitt's Hypocritical Veep Search: Aides have pored through tax filings to prevent surprises

So, HE is important enough to vet his veep candidate's taxes, but the American people are not important enough for him to allow us to see his.

What an egotistical phony. What are you hiding, Mitt?

Romney did not meet with prospective candidates Monday. Instead, he shared his groceries with a few senior advisers, including the head of his vice presidential search, Beth Myers. Last week, Myers told supporters they could "be the first to get the VP scoop" by downloading a new mobile phone app.

The pieces are in place. The campaign has hired a staff for the running mate and set detailed fundraising expectations. Romney has studied candidates in YouTube videos and watched others in person. Aides have pored through tax filings and personal histories to prevent any surprises.

"Mr. Romney, did not your VP choice have to show YOU all his tax returns?" Ooops.

4. Just ask his VP how many years Mitt asked to see when vetting him.

Then ask him how many years he'll be releasing to the public.
Then ask him if he was allowed to see any of Mitt's returns before deciding to run with him.

They do whatever the hell they want, then they lay their contorted "moral" imperatives on everyone else.

7. I think the taxes discrepancy will overshadow his actual VP pick announcement.

This taxes thing isn't going away, it's just going to get bigger, and that's the first thing people will be focused on when the VP pick is announced will be their taxes and how it was more than Romney, etc.
