Romney Being Mocked For Worst 2012 Photo-Op Gaffe of 2012!!Romney Being Mocked For Worst 2012 Photo-Op Gaffe of 2012!!
by joelgp Mitt Romney is an idiot. There's no way to spin it or tease it out, it's just a fact: this dude is missing a few screws. He's desperately trying to prove he's a regular guy by taking time off from the campaign to go grocery shopping. Check this out: "Mitt Romney Goes Shopping, Successfully Executing The Lamest Photo-Op Of 2012
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney engaged in arguably the most blatant "I'm a regular guy, just like you" campaign stunt Monday. The "Best Pandering to Date" award of the 2012 season was won by the GOP's standard-bearer by using a rare day off from the trail to go shopping at his local hardware and grocery store in Wolfeboro, N.H. Just how "everyman" is Romney? Like you and me, Mitt Romney gets chauffeured to the store in a tinted-out black Chevy Suburban, Secret Service agents in tow. Much like the rest of us, he procures his ears of corn and tools with a press gaggle dutifully snapping pictures." He actually thinks Americans are stupid enough to believe a man with a 78K per year dancing horse would come off the presidential campaign to go grocery shopping? Wow?? He wanted you to see the picture below. Unfortunately, someone messed it up with a nasty lil caption.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/07/1117531/-Romney-Being-Mocked-For-Worst-2012-Photo-Op-Gaffe-of-2012 Mitt, like the Bush tax cuts, it didn't work the first time. <...>
To overcome the image that had damaged him in the 1994 Senate race – that of a wealthy corporate buyout specialist out of touch with the needs of regular people – a series of "work days" were staged throughout the campaign, in which Romney performed blue-collar jobs such as herding cows and baling hay, unloading a fishing boat, and hauling garbage. Television ads highlighting the effort, as well as one portraying his family in gushing terms and showing him shirtless, received a poor public response and contributed to his being behind his Democratic opponent, Massachusetts State Treasurer Shannon O'Brien, in polls as late as mid-October. He rebounded with ads that accused O'Brien of being a failed watchdog for state pension fund losses in the stock market and that associated her husband, a former lobbyist, with the Enron scandal. During the election he contributed over $6 million – a state record at the time – to the nearly $10 million raised for his campaign overall. Romney was elected governor on November 5, 2002, with 50 percent of the vote to O'Brien's 45 percent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitt_Romney#2002_gubernatorial_campaign From a 2002 article: <...>
Now what's funny about this attack ad is that a Republican is tarring a Democrat with the Enron brush. More to the point, a venture capitalist, Mitt Romney, is smearing the state treasurer, Shannon O'Brien, with corporate greed and fraud. The not-so-subtle implication of the ad is that O'Brien is personally responsible for the loss of pension funds in the Incredible Collapsing Market. The subtext is, of course, that Romney, the former top dog at Bain Capital will protect us from the corporate mess. Don't you love this stuff? - more - http://www.sfgate.com/opinion/article/Republicans-strive-to-close-the-Enron-gap-2759905.php Mitt, how does it feel? You can end the speculation by releasing your tax returns.

Wolfeboro vacation home. Hope he got nailed with a View tax assessment. Thanks to a Repub gov and legg, NH property owners have to pony up if they have land that doesn't overlook the town dump.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/View_tax He certainly isn't conning any Granitehead 99ers. We all know anyone who owns beach front property in Wolfeboro usually has more money than dog or the patch has been in the family since dog was a pup. |

An air drop of money allowed Romney to win a race that he should have lost. Despite all his weakness as a candidate, money (his best and only ally) saved the day. We should all take that seriously as Mitt's money orgy is ramping up. Donate to the Obama Campaign and DNC today! |

Just throw enough money at the problem to offset the negatives, no problem if the money is unlimited. That's the new negative feedback loop of American politics.

My dad had a nice sport fishing boat. He named it after his company and used it to take clients out tuna fishing all the time. He wrote most of it off, I'm sure. Mitt is probably doing something similar with his "vacation" house. Since he's campaigning from there, he probably found a way to make it a campaign expense, or an office or something. After all, it IS Mitt Romney. We'd expect nothing less from such a brilliant businessman.

|
Seriously. If you're standing in the corn field and break the ear off and eat it right there, it is unbelievable how good it is.
Corn is very sweet (thus the "corn sugar" and high fructose corn syrup). But the moment you pick it, the sugars begin to break down into starch. Old corn tastes starchy and mushy. Fresh corn tastes crisp and sweet. Corn eaten seconds after you pick it is better than cooked corn slathered in butter and salt. |
