(45,358 posts)I think Discovery Channel, or maybe Science Channel are covering the landing live.
My rent is due tomorrow.

(1,340 posts)and daughter-in-law was on the science lab team. They are on pins and needles--can hardly breathe! We haved tix (very precious) to the JPL landing party in Pasadena. It is an incredible project. So much can go wrong. The timing of everything is so precarious, our son says there will be tears either way it goes. I just wish there were more coverage and anticipation in the mainstream.

(22,308 posts)I'm gonna try to get in a nap Sunday evening just so I can get up and watch this, but even then Monday morning is going to come to soon.
Then Tuesday I need to leave early so I can vote before going to work.
Gonna be a long week.

(5,169 posts)ART IS FOR EVERYONE
The Detroit Institute of Arts has been a vital part of our community for 127 years. With more than 400,000 annual visitors, the DIA has been called Americas most visitor-friendly museum. But the DIA is at risk of closing its doors.
Voting YES on this low cost millage will keep the museum open, and allow for free, unlimited admission and free school field trips. A required annual audit and report to each county will ensure your investment is used wisely.
ART IS FOR CHILDREN
Thousands of school children visit the DIA each year. Your YES vote keeps this educational treasure open, and provides additional support for art education, student transportation and field trips.
VOTE YES FOR YOUR COUNTY ARTS AUTHORITY.
ITS WHAT WE SAVE FOR OUR KIDS.

(7,768 posts)The lift-offs still give me goosebumps every time!
I'll be watching and biting my fingernails too. There's a 14 minute time-lag for communication back to earth.
They will either have a successful landing and they're good to go, or one big heaping pile of very expensive rubble.
Here's hoping for the former!
GO CURIOSITY!!

I think I'll just take a good nap and go to sleep the night before and just wake up in the night then go back to sleep and get up a little later the next morning.
