Petition to the White house to stop police brutality against civil protesters
for the last several years we have seen increased police brutality against civil non-violent protesters. often city officials are doing nothing to curb it.. even in progressive cities like Minneapolis.
We need to curb the tide. this one goes to the President https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/investigate-and-stop-all-acts-police-brutality-against-civil-protesters-and-demilitarize-local/GRk1PtyQ WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO: investigate and stop all acts of police brutality against civil protesters and demilitarize local police forces. As citizens of this country it is alarming to witness law enforcement agencies treating civilians engaged in lawful demonstration as criminals. The First Amendment guarantees every American the right to free speech, assembly and to have their grievances addressed by their government. We have watched law enforcement respond to peaceful demonstrations dressed in military uniforms, utilizing tear gas, rubber bullets, batons and intimidation to disperse legal gatherings and marches. From college campuses to Main Street, USA the local law enforcement agencies have over reacted with force, making illegal arrests and detaining protesters with exorbitant bail. We call for complete investigation of all cases of protester abuse and police brutality and to demilitarize our local police forces.

1. Police brutality?
- That's what they do in a Police State. You can add sexual assault to that brutality charge as well.....

4. That's just the START of what we need to do, but it'll have to suffice.
|
We also need to change the law enforcement hiring process. To weed out the violent psychopaths that infest the system.

7. DUREC, but the White House already knows,
|
....so does Eric Holder and the US Justice Department.
The violent "crackdown" on the OWS was coordinated and approved at the National level. So is the current militarization of our local Police Departments, .....AND you are paying for it. You will know them by their WORKS, not by their rhetoric, promises, or excuses. 8. unless those are federal police ...
|
you would probably get better results in
writing/calling the Gov. or the mayor .. those are the people who are controlling the situation ... they are also more likely to respond to a smaller number of petitions then the federal gov. will .... |
