It's PR 101: you give an asshole a platform to spew bullshit. The company works overtime to make sure it's the right image. Then you market correctly to the one group who buys into that bullshit - and they turn out in droves to support your (their) cause. The end result: the original asshole gets a big fat raise, free advertising for your business and the business profits handsomely. Gotta love it.
