(regarding the pro-same-sex-marriage side in the Chick-Fil-A controversy) You get Gay Marriage, and all your opponents get is Type II Diabetes.

3. Much more than a freedom of speech issue

Jon Stewart seems to criticize some mayors who are opposed to Chick-Fil-A franchises in their cities...by portraying the issue strictly as a freedom-of-speech issue. BUT when an organization such as Chick-Fil-A contributes 2 million a year to depriving a segment of our society their equal rights, then it goes far far beyond a freedom of speech issue, and deserves counter-action, not mere talk or criticism.
p.s. perhaps a 60's style counter sit-in would be a good form of "counter-action"  |
