79. Well, Newt had his Moon colony; they claim Obama's been to Mars; but no one ever asks Mittens.
|
He really won't speak about himself anymore, it seems, after having slipped on his bullying and Gordon Gecko moments.
If you ask him about his taxes, he lies or claims you're being mean to him. If you talk about his money hidden overseas, he lies or says it just shows how smart he is. If you mention his wife and the horse incidents, you're just jealous. But no one, out of good taste, dares to bring up his religion. And you'll note he doesn't talk to the lowly press, he's doing a Nixon, Reagan and Bush on them. The only time I can Mittens answering a question will be when or if he debates with Obama. But the POTUS has already cut back on the space program somewhat. And I've never heard Mitt the Twit mention space. And he can say that Kolob is not a real place, but a spiritual symbol for when he's gonna rule the world.. OOPS, he won't say that. Nasty first amendment, if you ask him, he'll say you're bullying him. I don't think he'll get caught that way, and it might not be nice, anyway. Not that he's nice, either.. |

Even Wiki refers to The Outfit as the Chicago Mafia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Outfit The Chicago Outfit, also known as the Chicago Syndicate, Chicago Mafia, Chicago Mob, or simply the Outfit, is a crime syndicate based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Dating back to the 1910s, it is part of the American Mafia; however, the Chicago Outfit is distinct from the "Five Families" of New York City. Anyway. Neither one ever existed. At least that's what they used to tell me. I worked with this guy's nephew in the 90s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_J._LaPietra Angelo J. "The Hook" LaPietra (1920–1999) was a Chicago mobster and member of the Chicago Outfit, involved in extensive loansharking operations in the city's First Ward during the 1970s and 1980s. He earned his nickname "The Hook" due to the way he murdered his victims—those that did not, or could not pay up. He would take his victim—bound and gagged—and hang him on a meat hook, (piercing the victim's rib cage with the meat hook) and then torture him to death with a blow-torch. The torch would not actually be the cause of death. The victims most often died from suffocation. The guy that owned the car dealership where I worked used to hang out at the "Old Neighborhood Italian American Club" founded by Mr. LaPietra. He came in a few times walking with his cane. Didn't look too dangerous at that point. |

Last edited Fri Aug 3, 2012, 12:22 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) the notes to the Wiki article I linked to mention that Mario Puzo modeled one the characters in The Godfather on Capone, a fact I had not known before today.
The problem, I suppose, is that 'Mafia' is both literal (the Sicilian "La Cosa Nostra") but also largely metaphoric, referring to any organized crime with quasi-Italianate roots. The Wiki article I linked to made it sound as if Capone was actually battling with one of these Italianate organized crime outfits. So, anyway, I'm going to shut up now before I stick my foot in my mouth any further |
