You may also want to avoid that swill at Wendy's "restaurants"
Also Wednesday, a Wendy's franchise owner took the unusual stance of posting signs of support for his rival.
Jim Furman, CEO of Tar Heel Capital, confirmed to WIS TV in Columbia, S.C., that his company put up messages such as "We stand with Chick Fil A" outside Wendy's restaurants Wednesday. He said he didn't know how many signs were posted. Furman didn't reply to requests for comment from USA TODAY. Tar Heel Capital owns 75 Wendy's in North Carolina and South Carolina.

|
the company owns the store and you run it and split the profits. Most other franchises you own the store, buy stuff from them and pay them fees, keeping the profits.

suffered because of your need to boycott one franchise owner.
A real shame indeed. |

He should have thought of how his actions would reflect upon the Wendy's brand.

This is probably the same guy that BLARES christian fundie radio into the dining area. I'm in SC and all the chains in my area do that.
I was already boycotting his stores because of that. |

18. They did. The signs were only up for a few hours.
|
The very same say as those signs went up, Wendy's corporate office issued a statement: "This is one independent franchisee's personal opinion. We are proud to serve customers of varied races, backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientation, with different beliefs and values. Bearing that in mind, this franchisee has decided to remove the messages from his restaurant signs."
I have no doubt Corporate told them "take down the signs...now." FWIW, I don't eat at either one. I'm a piscatarian...and that does not extend to fast-food fish sandwiches. Ugh. |
