"Wives of male employees = No Free Contraceptives"

That is what my daughter's (Catholic) MIL tried to tell her. Duh? NO. My daughter is an Independent Contractor, has no employer heath insurance, and her Public School Teacher husband covers her under his insurance. If she needs Labor and Delivery for a birth, her HUSBAND's insurance will pay for that, even if HE himself does not need it. So why would HER contraceptives be any different? That would be EXTREME discrimination; married women not entitled to birth control?

Catholic MIL has her own religious agenda.

What a nosy parker she is! I can't tell you how infuriating that is to me and I am an MIL myself.

As an MIL I do not have the right to tell my kids and their spouses what they should be doing in their private lives.

This is appalling...

"free" contraception. It is covered by the policy. There is a difference.

We PAY for medical care via our insurance plans.
