2. Damn good message. That's what we did to save our cherry tree last September.
The developer planted it in a shallow bowl of shale (amazed it survived to begin with) and the wind blew it over. We chopped off about half of the top growth and got it back upright. It took an F-250 diesel and a Chevy SUV to GET it upright, but we did. It's still supported by two of the four ropes we used to keep it there. We got a full tree of blossoms and a shitload of cherries this spring. I think it's doing well.
