Ted Cruz considered running for Texas AG before he decided on running for the Senate

http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/politics/entries/2009/03/04/ted_cruz_hatching_a_site_expec.html

His peers apparently didn't have much to say about him then, either.
He mixed church and state, and didn't like to get his hands dirty.

1. Too bad because then he'd be just a state-wide asshat...

Instead of a national asshat.

2. One of the posts praises him.....for his Canadian Heritage

I love all things Canadian moose, French people, Keanu Reeves. The list goes on and on. So Im so very happy to see Ted Cruz running to Texas AG. He was the first Canadian in history to serve as Solicitor General, hes the first Canadian in history to run for Texas Attorney General, and he was the first Canadian Hispanic in history to clerk for Justice Rehnquist. He is so proud of his Canadian heritage
