4. RIP Jerry!

Lots of great memories for me. I was on the '78 'Shakedown Street' tour, doing stage lights.

"What a long strange trip it's been".

Jerry and I faced off with many of the same demons.

30. I heard "Ripple" and "Box of Rain," among others, on the radio today

I remember walking out of North Beach Pizza in The Haight in San Francisco with my young son and seeing the newspaper headline.

It sent me into a spin, but I had to retain my composure for him.

I bought a pint of Cherry Garcia later that night. That's about as psychedelic as I get these days.

My son? He's all grown up and getting married in Sophia, Bulgaria next week. I'm flying over to be his best man. I love his soon-to-be

Time passes. "Ripple" and "Box of Rain" still comfort.

Goosebumps and tears . . .

32. Happy Birthday Jerry.

You have no idea how much you are missed . . . or maybe you do, you always looked like you knew a LOT more than you were letting on.

From the very last show. He flubbed some of the lyrics, but the emotion and soul . . .

So many roads I tell you
So many roads I know
All I want is one to take me home
From the high road to the low
So many roads I know
So many roads so many roads
From the land of the midnight sun
where the ice blue roses grow
'long those roads of gold and silver snow
Howlin' wide or moaning low
So many roads I know
So many roads to ease my soul
