evacuated due to bomb threats. According to the PIO for the airport the threat was specific, but refused to confirm where they got the call for.
Inbound planes are allowed to land, and kept on tarmac, while passengers are on the tarmac. A little more specific information per USA today, via live blog The San Antonio International Airport was evacuated after a bomb threat was called in.
Update at 4:10 p.m. ET: Citing sources, KENS-TV reports pieces of luggage in a parking garage area are being examined. KSAT has a live stream. I know that my HS in Mexico City (being a Jewish school), got them at least once a year. The year we got one like for real, was disgruntled staff. We kids never got afraid, it was a game truly. Years later, when responding to the same place, as a stand by unit, I knew how scary it really was. |
