The new Romney attack ads...
Here in Colorado, it is not unusual to see 3 campaign ads continuously on the television. Yesterday, I noticed that the Romney campaign has a new ad out and it is focusing solely on the economy. It shows the desolate faces of some unemployed and states that Barack Obama said he would create 4 million new jobs. It shows stats where unemployment has been over 8% for more than 40 months. It says we are spending $4 billion dollars a day and adding it to the debt. It is a hard-hitting ad that will get the attention of the lesser-informed voters. In my opinion, it is a very effective ad.
That is why I think the Obama campaign will need to respond in kind. They cannot assume that voters remember the economy of 4 years ago. They will need to be reminded of why we have this debt and why we have such high unemployment and why the economy has not recovered to where it should be. It is understandable that the White House does not want to discuss the economy but, in my opinion, they should.

1. We need to shout from the roof tops how the rethugs have been obstructing ...

and dragging their feet in the least productive Congress ever. And how right from the start how they were resolved to make Obama a one term President even at the cost of harming our country. And ... what Obama has been doing in spite of their obstructing is trying to repair the damage done by eight years of rethuglican greed, corruption and malfeasance. |

2. One thing I would criticize the Obama Administration for...
|
..is that they let the Republicans off the hook for the terrible situation they put us in with their huge taxcuts and wars and trickle down economy. In my opinion, the people should have been reminded regularly that we were making progress but that it would take some time to get out of this hole that the Repubs put us in. Some may argue that he has done that already. I would disagree.
Now, I think the majority of Americans see this as solely the Obama economy and he is the only person responsible for the huge debt and the high unemployment. President Obama chose to accept that responsibility on his own and it is his cross to bear. It didn't have to be that way. |

3. I saw those ads too

and I have to agree with you that the stats he uses are going to have an effect on voters here in Colorado. Usually I just fast-forward through the ads, but took the time to watch this new one. Of the stats he uses, spending $4 billion dollars a day caught my attention the most.
