tea bagger cruz to replace relatively reasonable conservative hutchison
in the Texas delegation to the US Senate. His opponent was the more conservative than Hutchinson, but not insane, David dewhurst.
The right wing populist march continues in the south. God speed the day when demographics take my beloved state the way of New Mexico.

1. It's appropriate that Gore Vidal has exited this life just now.
|
What a polar opposite to this vapid person who advertised against Dewhurst using "moderate" pejoratively, was the great man of wit and charm.

2. i know they all do that

as if moderation- a universally accepted vitue- is a vice. My opponent is NOT an immoderate freak like me! Now I know that word is loaded here, as it is applied to blue dogs. But in reality blue dog Democrats hold positions that used to be on the Republican right.

7. That would be sweet. Republicans don't expect to lose this seat.
|
I don't really expect them to either. I don't know how area around Houston is what the is the population of the area etc.. Still, one can dream of the outrage if a Republican loses this seat.

11. Now, you would think..
|
.. that this kind of tea party candidacy would fire up the DNC
and the Texas Democratic party to great heights of campaign organization and money. That's what you would think .... |
