Krauthammer Slams Romney Over Olympics Comment: ‘Unbelievable,’ ‘Incomprehensible’

On Fox News earlier, Charles Krauthammer criticized Mitt Romney for his comments saying that all the problems facing the London Olympics feel “disconcerting.” Romney made the comment in an interview last night with Brian Williams. Krauthammer said that all Romney has to do is say nothing and come out of the trip looking better on U.S.-Britain relations than the president, and he messed up on the first day.

Regarding Prime Minister David Cameron‘s quip that you could easily hold the Olympics in “the middle of nowhere,” Krauthammer said he was clearly referring to Utah, the state where Romney helped run the Winter Olympics in 2002. He said that Romney’s comments on the London Olympics were “unbelievable,” “incomprehensible,” and “a lot of other adjectives.” Krauthammer said Romney shouldn’t be saying anything on his international trip, except for kind words about the countries he is visiting.

He said that the places Romney went to: England, Israel and Poland had been treated roughly and badly by Obama.

He listed all Romney's talking points re England: bust of Churchill, an Obama State Dept person who downplayed the special relationshio England/USA, the Faulklands/Argentina.. etc, etc..

He said that all Romney had to say was how wonderful the country was and stress the special relationship between the countries that Romney envisioned & that people would know WITHOUT SAYING SO, a silent rebuke of Obama based on how he (had) treated the Brits & Poles and Israelis pretty shabbily..

So the Romney talking points had been worked out by Fox gurus in order to maximally embarrass Pres Obama..

I mean the mask slipped and we saw the inner workings of the extreme Right wing propagandists.. Ugly, ugly

But the Romney gaffes... priceless..

occurred when he was trying to incorporate the neocon talking points into unscripted conversation?

I think I remember Romney throwing in the 'close ties' concept at inappropriate times during the day..now I know why..

He sounded like an absolute fool... Oh happy day.

Romney, on the other hand, is all to easy to comprehend. It might be better for him if nobody could understand what he's saying.
