Let's say fundamentalist Christians had a thing against driving... (not a gun post)

And let's say surveys showed that fundamentalist Christians were much less likely to have a driver's license.

And let's say the Democratic Party knew that, and so sought changes in state voting protocols to require that voters produce a driver's license.

I'm a strident atheist, but if that all happened I would be done with the party. Forever. I would either never vote again or vote for the wackiest available fringe left party.

I do not know if I would admit to most people that I had ever been a Democrat.

Fucking with voting is so anti-American I have trouble grasping how it could even occur to someone. I didn't understand it under Jim Crow and I do not understand it today.

And for this reason, I do not consider any contemporary Republican who knows what is going on to be to be a morally functioning human being, not matter how nice they may be otherwise.

They somehow rationalize the idea that some people unlike themselves should be discouraged, by the government, from voting. They actively and knowingly support evil.

And that's what I think of Republicans today.

but these are the same people who thought torture was fine and dandy..they have had no problem with mass arrests of demonstrators, at their last 2 national conventions.. i have learned to expect little in the way of integrity, or honesty from them..
