'No sign of life' at crash site of helicopter carrying Iran's president, others

https://www.yahoo.com/news/official-says-rescuers-see-helicopter-023159433.html

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iranian state television said Monday there is “no sign of life” seen at the crash site of a helicopter that was carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and others.

The site was across a steep valley and rescuers had yet to reach it, state media reported.

As the sun rose Monday, rescuers saw the helicopter from a distance of some 2 kilometers (1.25 miles), the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Kolivand, told state media. He did not elaborate and the officials had been missing at that point by over 12 hours.

The helicopter crashed Sunday and was carrying Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollhian and others.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE.

Was that fake? It seemed suspicious since it didn't say anything about the status of the president.

He was heavily considered to replace the current Ayatollah should he pass or resign. His death complicates things for them as his "election" was heavily marred already with the lowest turnout in history.

They may dislike their government, but they hate the USA even more. Your comment as well as Repub Rick Scott who basically said the same thing gets circulated and only affirms their distrust.

....and imposed the Shah.

That's why my wife's father had to leave, get over yourself. Families of exiles (like me) and refugee's have a very different point of view.

When I was in Egypt a few months ago, we drove by their Military Academy, lots of murals of El Sisi, on the walls, two of them with him shaking hands with President Xi and President Putin.

Get over yourself.
