1. My religion doesn't care - May I impose my religion on you?

My recollection (and this is my recollection only) is that Christ never sanctified or spoke on what marriage is and is not. He merely went to some wedding and turned water into wine. This has been 'interpreted' into all the bullshit religious marriage rules.

Maybe Paul said something about marriage. Christ never said much about anything. What passes for Christianity is mostly the hate that Paul spewed.

My understanding of marriage in the US is that the state started stepping in in Alabama after the civil war to make rules to stop any inter-racial marriages.

But those that call themselves 'christians' like to imagine that Jesus himself is reaching down from Venus or someplace to thank them for forcing their views into policy that all others must follow or go to jail.

When did Iowa move and nestle in between Mississippi and Louisiana.
