I was with a small group that met the Beatles backstage when they played Las Vegas. After a brief visit between their two shows, we had to leave. I was at the end of the line as he escorted us out. At the last minute, being an ardent Paul fan, I got this crazy idea, one of those once-in-a-lifetime things that I figured would probably never happen again so I grabbed it. I turned and asked him if I could run my fingers through his hair. He said sure, love, and bent down. It was quick. I think I was 11 years old. With my left hand. (Hah! Ironic! Hes a southpaw.)
That was one risk Ill always be glad I took.
