So the most concerning part of this story is not the worm necessarily. The far more concerning piece of this story is "ate part of my brain". While it might not need saying, to be clear, every single inch of your brain has a function and if you lose that part, no matter how small, the implications could be significant. Everything from psychological stability to memory to motor function regulation to bodily functions that no one even thinks about on a daily basis.
Losing a part of your brain, no matter how small, always matters and is a very big deal.
