Which makes it clear that 1) he was recruited to Emory specifically, 2) they were already married when he took the position, and 3) she was offered a position as part of the recruitment.
It's not sexist to state known facts supported by evidence in the actual thread. It's also the case the spousal hires are fucking weird. If they were moving to, say, State College, Pennsylvania it would be one thing. He was recruited from JHU to Emory in...checks notes... Atlanta. There are probably 15 universties within 20 miles of their home.
