Finally, after 26 years I am broadcasting the last opera of Richard Wagner, Parsifal.
Tonight's recording is "old-school-gold" Live from Bayreuth 1951 with Hans Knappertsbusch conducting and staring Wofgang Windgassen, Martha Modl and George London as Amfortas.
The show will be 5 1/2 hours long so plan on a rebroadcast or 2 to hear the whole thing or stick it out with a cup of coffee!

Why didn't he start earlier, taking time from the 5 pm Tiki Lounge?
