Martha Stewart went to jail for lying to the FBI

Your telling me in all these investigations, Trump hasn't lied to the Investigators? We know for certain he did in the Classified File case.
Should be a slam dunk if it ever goes to trial.

since trump came to power.

I expect not ONE of them to EVER be brought to justice.

Now if they were dems, ALL would be.

Maybe not that many have been interviewed by the FBI but they lie to everyone all the time, had to be under oath at some point.

like the SC justices, werent they under oath in confirmation hearings? I am asking because I don’t know.

He has lawyers for that. I have always told clients never ever talk to the FBI or any other investigator. Nothing good can come of it.

So, no perjury. Also, I don't want to know if my client is guilty or not because that gives me many options if it goes to trial. If I know my client is guilty there are many motions and questions I can't ask at trial because it would be a fraud on the court. So, no perjury.

If I remember right, he was in NY or NJ when the Florida raid took place.

She knew others did far worse than she did.
And nothing happened to them.

But she kept her mouth shut, didn't point fingers or blame others.

Went to prison and helped women learn marketable skills for when they were released.
Was a model prisoner.

Came out and put it behind her and knocked it out of the park with her business plans.

I’m glad she owned up to it. I think by doing so, she gained a lot of respect.

First we have an election to win, knowing full well the Republicans intend to cheat like hell and challenge every loss, close or not, all the way up the chain. That part will be difficult.

Stewart was found guilty of conspiracy, obstruction and two counts of lying to federal investigators. However, the most serious criminal charge against her — securities fraud — was previously dismissed by the judge

As Martha was charged.
I wasn't attacking Smith, I was questioning if our Justice System will treat him as severely.
