Jesus Wept - literally

We really shouldn't laugh at tRump comparing himself to heroic historical figures, given the facts we know about them.

We know from the Bible that when Jesus stood accused before Pontius Pilate, he cried like a baby and whined non-stop all the way to Calvary. And who can forget Christ's dying words about getting revenge on his enemies as soon as he was resurrected.

Remember Nelson Mandella in prison, and his endless belly-achin' about how cold his cell was? I was so happy when he was finally released so we didn't have to hear it anymore.

Our own history books are replete with stories about tRump-like American heroes - tales of how Paul Revere declined to warn people that the British were coming because it was raining and his hair would get mussed-up, and how Robert E. Lee refused to concede defeat because the whole Civil War was "rigged" and the Confederacy had actually won.

It may seem cruel to point and laugh at what MAGAts believe about their delusional Orange Cheezus - but at this point, it's kinda impossible not to.

(Thanks to everyone for the warm 'welcome back' messages!)

You have me laughing my head off when I should try sleeping at 4:30 a.m.

Let’s celebrate the fact that the prosecutors are going after him instead of going after me or you with those 91 indictments. His heroic stance means you and I can go about our lives paying taxes so Elon Musk doesn’t have to.

If it weren’t for our politically persecuted Mango Mussolini, you and I might be going out to our mailbox for some randomly targeted charge of paying off some hooker to hide an affair from the voting public. Dayum, I’m grateful to him for that— since this is something that I personally do once or twice a week.

Lest we forget, he has also saved us the trouble of hijacking an entire political party in order to siphon off political contributions to pay lawyer fees. That’s a pretty sophisticated stunt—herding those recalcitrant politicians like McCarthy and Johnson to Mar a Lardo and turning them into grinning fools with their thumbs up.

Joe could have used this line last night at the correspondence dinner.

Priceless!
